Mr. Arrington earned a B.B.A. in 1983 from the University of Texas at Arlington. He passed the
exam with one of the ten highest scores among the 9,600 Texas candidates and began
practicing public accounting with the international accounting firm Ernst & Whinney (n/k/a Ernst
& Young). Mr. Arrington left public accounting to attend the University of Texas School of Law,
from which he graduated with honors in 1986 and was admitted to the Colorado bar in 1987
and has practiced law in the Denver area since then. Mr. Arrington was a member of the
Colorado House of Representatives from 1997 to 1998.
Mr. King counsels’ clients ranging from garage start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations, primarily
in the areas of telecommunications, software and electronics, sporting goods, and outdoor
products. Many of Mr. King’s clients are involved with computer and communication
technologies, including internet security, global navigation, database and applications software,
business methods and electronic commerce, and network hardware. Mr. King has extensive
experience in adversarial proceedings, including patent reexaminations and trademark
opposition/cancellation proceedings in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as
intellectual property litigation at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts.
