Summary

Cornerstone 316 Agro is an agricultural business company that has a long-term goal to be a leading commercial exporter of organic agricultural produce on the international market that meets standards and support local farmers in the region.
Currently our focus is on Vanilla production and processing. Last year, we planted over 2 acres of planifolia Ugandan vanilla. We have also partnered up with local farmers in the region to provide stable and favorable market for their green vanilla beans. We in turn add value to the vanilla by curing and processing it to grade A quality for the international market.
Our end mission is to enrich the lives of these farmers by providing a long-term partnership in terms of market and continually working with them. This will also be done through trainings on best practices to produce quality vanilla.

Notable Achievements

  • We have already sourced and partnered up with long term potential buyers in North America.
  • We have the vanilla and our next harvest is in June.
  • A site has been gazetted for the curing facilty.

The Business

We are a group of farmers who have been growing vanilla for over 5 years and have been selling it as raw green beans to middlemen and vanilla curing and processing companies.
We want to start curing and processing the vanilla we grow and engage in fair trade. This will enrich the farmers lives and improve on their wellbeing.
The investment will be used to setup a facility and also working that will enable us add value to the vanilla and sell it on the international market. We have partnered up with vanilla co-ops in north America and also have sourced potential buyers in Europe for our vanilla. Our next harvest is in June and this will give us a gross profit of over 60% if the initial capital by end of 2021

The Market

We have partnered up with vanilla co-ops in north America and also have sourced potential buyers in Europe for our vanilla. We also plan to tap into the Japanese market in the next year.

The funds will be used to enter the next stage of the business which is value addition .

I will start on setting up the curing and processing facility in time for the June harvest.
